Men's Group

What's the purpose of Men's Group?

To equip and encourage guys to reach their full redemptive potential as men of God.
These men are rooted in a deep relationship with God and understand how He shapes their character, priorities, calling and love for others.
This requires a Godly masculinity that emphasises responsibility, servant-leadership, resolve, holiness, and using their God-given gifts to bless others, stand as pillars in our church and further the Kingdom of God.
This vision stands in contrast to cultural ideals that can emphasise personal gain, passivity, power, or hedonism.

To become this type of man requires three things:

  1. A commitment to the journey
  2. A community of brothers on this journey
  3. Empowerment of the Holy Spirit

The details:

Fortnightly on Thursday evenings, men will gather to journey through a resource that encourages this vision. This is a lead space by two men from Red, John & Clint. On alternating weeks, we encourage men to gather in smaller groups of 3-4 to absorb the content further.

Men's Group Agreement

As a member of this men’s discipleship group, I commit to actively participating in this brotherhood as we grow together in faith, accountability, and service. In pursuit of this goal, I agree to uphold the following commitments:

  1. Regular Attendance
I will prioritise attending scheduled group meetings, recognising that my presence contributes to both my growth and the encouragement of others. If I am unable to attend, I will communicate with the group as appropriate.

  2. Confidentiality & Relational Integrity
I understand that this group is a space for honesty and vulnerability. I commit to keeping all personal and sensitive matters shared within the group confidential, creating a safe environment where trust can flourish. Additionally, I will seek to build up and encourage others, speak with grace and truth, address conflicts biblically (Matthew 18:15-17), and serve fellow group members when needed.

  3. Investing in my relationship with God
I acknowledge that my spiritual growth is a personal responsibility. I will seek to deepen my relationship with God through prayer, Scripture, worship and personal reflection, allowing Him to shape my heart and actions.

  4. Engagement in the Life of the Church
I will remain an active participant in the broader church community by regularly attending services and using my gifts to serve others. I recognise that discipleship extends beyond this group and is lived out in the body of Christ.

  5. Personal Integrity & Holiness
I commit to living a life of integrity that reflects Christ’s character. This includes pursuing sexual purity, being mindful of my words and actions, practising honesty in all areas of life, and striving to honour God in my work, relationships, and daily choices.

By signing this agreement, I affirm my commitment to these values and that my group leaders or pastors may speak to me should there be concern.
